We both live in locally in Killearn, just 10 minutes away from the hostel. We share a love of the outdoors and enjoy walking, cycling, paddle boarding and canoeing, so this is a perfect location for us!
Patrick used to be a self-employed joiner, but his dream was to run a bunkhouse. In 2018 he was offered the chance to design and build his bunkhouse in an existing farm building, and the dream became a reality.
Karen works part-time as a nurse in the busy children’s hospital in Glasgow, and spends the remainder of the week in The Attic.
We want to inspire people to live healthy lives by connecting with the outdoors. To achieve this we provide our unique, affordable 5-star bunkhouse accommodation. We want our guests to be comfortable and relaxed and get the most out of their holiday with help and advice from us. Our wish is that every customer leaves refreshed and invigorated, full of wonderful memories of their stay at The Attic.
Our vision for the future is to be able to build cabins in the surrounding area, which will have very little environmental impact. They will give families space to be on their own in the outdoors, close to nature and each other.
